| Description | Archiver with a WinZip and a tree interface, and full drag and drop. |
| garchiver is an archiver for Gnome. It has a tree interface that lets you
navigate through your archives very easily, as well as the classic WinZip
interface. File can be dragged from a file manager and dropped on garchiver.
Single files can be extracted with or without the path they were in.
.
It currently fully supports .zip, .tar, .tar.gz, .tar.bz2, .tar.Z.
.
Extracting and viewing of rar and arj archives is working, but not stable.
It uses python modules to do all the work, so it is very easy to extend.
